Hi friends! Today I have a super cute Fandom Flakies box to share with you all. As someone who loves Squishmallows from afar, I was pretty excited about the theme this month. I love how cute the Squishmallow stuffies are.
So clearly the theme for March 2023 is Squishmallows, and not so clearly the guest maker is Fair Maiden Polish. Really loving having 3 of my favorite brands in Fandom Flakies this month!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer – Gengar Style
Description: a pale purple base with holo flakes, gold iridescent flakes, and a scattering of matte black flakes.
Gengar Style had a fantastic formula. It starts off fairly sheer, I think this could work as a topper as long as you don’t mind a slight bluish tint. All of the components are tiny so they do not dry textured.
I love how sparkly this polish is. Between the holo flakies and iridescent flakies, this was gorgeous. The black matte flakes as per usual, added a little extra pizazz that elevated the polish from beautiful to OH WOW.
Pretty much all of the coverage you get with this polish comes from the flakies so you will need to build it up to reach opacity. Personally, I liked it in 2 coats but if you want full opacity you’ll need three. Longer nails might have some VNL but I wasn’t able to see any on my nails.
My photos show Gengar Style in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. Removal won’t be overly difficult but it will be messy!

Fair Maiden Polish – Shake Your Tailfeathers!
Description: a bold blue base with color shifting shimmer green-violet, packed with iridescent and multichrome flakes
Shake Your Tailfeathers! had a good formula. It was on the thicker side, I ended up adding a few drops of thinner to my bottle just to see if that changed the application at all. I don’t think that was 100% necessary on my part but I did prefer application with it thinned out slightly.
This polish is JAM PACKED with flakies!! The base is on the more sheer side so like the previous polish this one has some topper potential. I personally liked it built up in 3 coats. It was a tiny bit too sheer for me personally after two.
None of the flakies dry down textured so removal won’t be overly difficult, just messy. But dang, they are pretty. The flakies in my opinion looked best in indirect lighting.

Night Owl Lacquer – Sloth Kisses
Description: a clear base with violet/pink/gold shifting shimmer and micro flakies in taupe, rose gold metallic and holographic
Sloth Kisses had an amazing formula. The base felt slightly on the thicker side but I found the application very easy. This polish is VERY color shifty! In person, I was seeing a pinky purple, gold to green color shift.
In low lighting, the shimmer is breathtaking in bright direct lighting the holographic is equally spectacular. This will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on your nail length and personal preference.
My photos show Sloth Kisses in 2 coats plus glossy top coat. You will want top coat as the polish dries down a little dull.

Ribbits Stickits
Acetone Additive $4.50
Squishmallows scent description: Toasted Coconut Smores is a sweet, rich blend of coconut, chocolate, graham crackers with a butter cream and vanilla base.
The scent of the acetone additive is delicious. It’s super sweet and exactly the kind of scent that I love. It’s very sweet but in my opinion not sickly sweet. I wasn’t really picking up any coconut, it was all the sweet vanilla base.
As soon as I got my photos, I popped this right into my acetone pump bottle. I personally prefer to use half of the bottle into my pump (8oz) as I found using the full bottle makes my fingers feel sticky. If you don’t want to add this to a pump the bottle comes with a dropper cap so you can also use it in a dappen dish.
There will also be a lotion available in this scent!
Waterslide Decals $8
When I say everything about the Ribbits Stickits items this month are cuteness overload I mean it and I LOVE it. The waterslide decals are so cute I am trying to talk myself out of buying backups. This is the exact reason why I never got into buying squishmallows to begin with. I have no self control.
The polishes I used for the mani were: Night Owl Lacquer: Autumn Is Calling (red), First Light (yellow), So Fresh & So Green (green), Feeling Blue Without You (blue) and Darkness Into Light. To make the decals pop over the base, I colored them in with acrylic paint.

Final Thoughts
I loved this month’s box. I don’t know much about Squishmallows other than they are ridiculously cute and I can’t buy them for fear of trying to collect them all. Each polish has a standout element to me.
I loved the blue base + flakies of the Fair Maiden Polish. I loved the flakie combo in the Bee’s Knees polish. And the shifty shimmer in the Night Owl Lacquer was just stunning. And of course, the Ribbits Stickits items really sealed in the cuteness factor this month.
