[Sponsored – Post Disclosure Page]

Hey friends! Today’s I have a very special post to share featuring Color Spectrum Polish. This brand is celebrating their 5 YEAR anniversary! Color Spectrum Polish holds a very special place in my heart so I’m really excited to share these polishes with you all!

Color Spectrum Polish was one of the very first brands to ever work with me when I first started my blog. The owner Shannon is also one of my favorite indie brand owners so yeah, I am very exctied to share these.

This collection is available right now on the Color Spectrum Polish website. As always, I will have links and sale information at the end of this post.

Color Spectrum Polish is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 13ml bottles, 7 Free, Vegan and Cruelty Free.

Celebrate Every Win, No Matter How Small

Description: a teal jelly with teal/pink holo and various pink glitters
Price: $10

Celebrate Every Win, No Matter How Small have a fantastic formula. It does start off very sheer so you’ll definitely want to build it up for the most opacity or use it as a topper. I found that this polish had a tendency to run down the stem of the brush a bit but it didn’t make application difficult.

The glitters all spread very evenly and easily with giving minimal texture. I was very surprised that I only needed 1 coat of top coat to smooth it out completely. I was also surprised at just how sparkly and holographic this polish was! Out in the sun it was next level sparkly.

This polish is pretty sheer so you will have very obvious VNL with it. Since this polish was so sheer, I opted to also swatch it as a topper. I wore it in 1 coat over Holo Taco’s Shady Navy.

I swatched Celebrate Every Win, No Matter How Small in 3 coats plus one coat of glossy topcoat. While the glitters didn’t dry down textured, I wouldn’t reccomend scrubbing this polish off. Removal will likely be very difficult if you choose to do that. Soaking this one off or using a peel off base coat will make removal very easy.

She Loved Life & It Loved Her Back

Description: a bubblegum pink cream with purple/gold aurora, iridescent flakies, teal/purple metallic flakes and scattered pink hex glitters
Price: $11

She Loved Life & It Loved Her Back had a fantastic formula. It skirted the line between being a crelly and a creme in my opinion at least. The flakies and glitters all spread out evenly without giving off noticeable texture.

The base color is a warm toned bubblegum pink. Shannon always makes gorgeous pinks and this one is no exception!

I think this polish wil llikely be a 2-3 coater depending on application. While I was going my swatch photos, I was trying to decide if I wanted to do a third coat. However, during my live swatch I definetly needed that third coat to reach full opacity.

My photos show She Loved Life & It Loved Her Back in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I totally spaced to do it but I think this will look amazing with a matte top coat!

Shine Your Light

Description: a beautiful topper made of holo, iridescent flakies, scattered blue mermaid flakies and pink/purple/blue micro flakies
Price: $11

Shine Your Light had a fantastic formula. The base on this polish didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. The holo pigment and flakies all spread out evenly without giving off any texture.

This polish is SUPER holographic and looks amazing over pretty much everything. For my swatch photos, I swatched it in 1 coat over Feeling Blue Without You by Night Owl Lacquer as well as Heather’s Hues Shadow. For my live swatch I swatched it over 3 more colors.

I think this will look amazing over pretty much anything. If you don’t mind obvious VNL, wearing over your bare nail is also an option.

The Best is Yet to Come

Description: a purple shimmer with teal & red shifts and holo
Price: $11

The Best is Yet to Come had a beautifiul formula. This polish starts off fairly sheer but builds up really nicely. I would say this polish leans very bluish/periwinkle and the shimmer gives it a color shifty effect.

It wasn’t until I brought this one outside did I realize just how holographic it was. Out in the sun, it was very in your face holo rainbows!

My photos show The Best is Yet to Come in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. I found I did have some VNL with this, it was most visible in bright direct lighting like outside. I will note that how much VNL will depend heavily on thickness of coats.

The Journey Matters the Most

Description: a black base with scattered silver reflective glitter and a purple/blue/pink magnetic strike.
Price: $12

The Journey Matters the Most had a wonderful formula. It was slightly on the thicker side in comparison to some of the other polishes in this release but I found it very easy to work with. The magnetic shimmer was super color shifty. I was seeing the described colors as well as a hint of gold in person.

The reflective glitters all spread out evenly and only gave off minimal texture. I don’t think it will be 100% necessary to pair this polish with a glitter smoothing top coat BUT I don’t think it would hurt to use one. The reflective glitters were super sparkly in person. My daylight shot didn’t quite showcase them as well as I would have liked so be sure to check out my live swatch video as you can really see them great there.

The magnetic effect in this polish magnetized very easily for me. I was trying out a new magnet by The Crafty Taco that I picked up during Polish Pickup. I’m not sure what kind of magnet it is called (the brand calls it a Bi Hand Nail Art Magnet) but the Etsy shop link for it is over here. I was enjoying the mangetic effect so much that I forgot to not magnetize all of my nails so I did a quick swatch on my thumb to show what this looks like without the magnetic effect.

My photos show The Journey Matters the Most in 3 coats plus 1 coat of top coat. This polish was opaque in 2 coats so I used the third coat to magnetize the polish.

Final Thoughts

As someone who in general leans heavily towards liking blues, purples and pinks, the color story on this collection was right up my alley. I loved the variety of finishes and the amount of holographic sparkle.

My only real complaint is I wished that Celebrate Every Win, No Matter How Small was just a bit more opaque but I loved how sparkly that one was so I’m not mad at it. I do also want to note that Color Spectrum Polish does have a skinny brush.

My favorite polishes from this release are going to be She Loved Life & It Loved Her Back and Shine Your Light. All in all, this whole collection was fantastic and a HUGE happy anniversary to Color Spectrum Polish!
