Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are handmade, 5 free, vegan and cruelty free.

Beware the Snallygaster!

Inspiration: The Snallygaster is a DMV (DC-MD-VA) urban legend. The snallygaster was described as half-reptile, half-bird having a metallic beak lined with razor-sharp teeth, occasionally alongside octopus-like tentacles. The snallygaster was rumored to swoop silently from the sky to pick up and carry off its victims.
Description: A marigold yellow with sparkly blue to green shimmer and silver to blue iridescent flakes
Price: $12.50 for 15ml

Beware the Snallygaster had a fantastic formula. It applied somewhere between a jelly and a crelly formula. I found the shimmer is very strong but the flakies are the star in this polish. The flakies spread out evenly and easily without giving off any texture.

This had pretty good coverage in 2 coats but I found the third coat deepened the color as well as add more opacity. I did have a tiny bit of visible nail line but it wasn’t so sheer that I would recommend it with a blurring base coat.

Comparison

I thought to compare this polish to the recently released, The Witch Made Me Do It from last month’s Fear Street collection. TWMMDI is sheerer, has a green undertone, and doesn’t have the shimmer effect.
