Hi friends! I am trying to get these blog posts out as quickly as I can so forgive the super short intro. This blog post is for the the new Bee’s Knees Lacquer House of Flame and Shadow Mystery Bags. These bags are launching alongside the main collection by the same name on March 15th on the Bee’s Knees Lacquer website.
The mystery bags are priced at $25 for 2 full size polishes. All mystery polishes are shimmer and light reflective glitter combinations. I will have more information at the end of this blog post.

Irithys
Description: a rich cobalt with glowy blue shimmer and has a scattering of silver light reflective glitter
Irithys had a really good but slightly thicker formula. This starts off kinda sheer so you will need to build it up to gain opacity. I’ll call it a 2-3 coater depending on your own personal preference.
Sadly it was raining heavily the day I swatched this polish so I wasn’t able to get some natural light shots of the reflective glitter. I used a flash to get some reflective sparkle action. I do have some natural light shots in my live swatch video if you would like to see the reflective glitter in natural lighting.
My photos show Irithys in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. You do get some texture from the reflective glitter I found one coat of top coat smoothed it out nicely for me. Make sure to use the soak off method or a peel off base coat when removing this one!
You Remind Me That I’m Alive
Description: a mid-toned brown with gold shimmer and has a scattering of silver light reflective glitter
You Remind Me That I’m Alive I LOVE that BKL is coming out with a brown with gold shimmer! Gold paired with brown is one of my favorite combinations plus I feel like the brand very rarely releases browns.
I. will admit even though I am for calling this a brown, I do think it’s also skirting the line between a burnt orange and a brown. Formula was great and I had no application issues.
The reflective glitter gives the polish a really pretty sparkle but some texture. One coat of top coat smoothed it out nicely for me though!

Sale Information
The Hose Of Flame and Shadow mystery bags go on sale March 15th at 7PM Eastern time on the Bee’s Knees Lacquer website. Each bag is priced at $25 for two 15ml bottles. There is a one bag per person limit but multiple people within a household can purchase bags.
All of the polishes in the mystery bags will be available individually without the mystery aspect at a later date. They will be priced at $14 each when that happens.
