Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly.
Curses Are Made of Secrets And Sacrifice
Description: a rich purple with glowy purple to blue shimmer
Price: $13
Curses Are Made of Secrets And Sacrifice had a fantastic formula. I was very surprised at how opaque this polish was. I thought for sure that it was going to stain the bejesus out of my nails but I didn’t experience any staining. The brand does warn that this polish might stainer so definitely wear a good base coat with this polish.
The shimmer isn’t a super color shifty shimmer but it was still a very strong shimmer. I didn’t see any brush strokes through it.
My photos show Curses Are Made of Secrets And Sacrifice in 3 coats plus glossy top coat. This polish will likely be a 2-3 coater depending on application and personal preference. For my live swatch, I used 2 coat and had a *tiny* bit of VNL.
Due to how pigmented this month is, I would recommend the soak off method to minimize the chances of staining on removal.
My Heart Is In Your Hands
Description: a sister to Celestina, this is a very pale gray (almost white) polish with glowy purple shimmer
Price: $13
My Heart Is In Your Hands also had a great formula. I really love pale grey base colors and this polish is no exception. This polish is a little sheer and delicate looking.
I found the shimmer effect had a pinky purple color shift to it. I didn’t see any brush strokes through it.
Because this polish is so light in color, it does go on a little unevenly. I do think this will likely be a solid 3 coater unless you apply it very carefully or have very short nails.
