BCB Lacquers Princess Collection

[Press Samples – Post Disclosure Page]

Hey friends! Today I am sharing a gorgeous collection by BCB Lacquers! This collection is inspired by a few of the Disney Princesses. This is the first release by this brand that features their new upgraded bottles and brushes!

As always, links and sale details can be found at the end of the post.

BCB Lacquers is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are in 15ml bottles, 5 free, vegan and cruelty free

Esmerelda

Description: A turquoise leaning blue polish with a soft teal/purple shifting shimmer, teal micro flakes and purple/blue/green shifting flakies

Esmerelda had a beautiful formula. It didn’t feel overly thick or thin and I didn’t have any application issues. This polish as an almost metallic look on the nail. The flakies all spread out very evenly without giving off any texture.

This polish looks AMAZING matte! I found Esmerelda had pretty good coverage in 2 coats but to get the color and the most opacity, I would recommend this polish in 3 coats.

Removal won’t be overly difficult but it will be on the messy side if you scrub it off. I didn’t experience any staining.

Jane

Description: A jade green polish with a green/gold/pink/blue shifting shimmer

Jane also had a fantastic formula. This is a super color shifty shimmer! In person, I was seeing mainly a green, gold with a silvery blueish/purpleish shift. Honestly, I couldn’t decide what color I was seeing but it was in the blue/purple spectrum. The shimmer doesn’t show brush strokes.

If you don’t mind a little VNL, this is passable in 2 coats. I found I liked it best in 3 coats. This dried slightly dull so you will want top coat for a glossy finish. No issues on removal.

Kida

Description: A smokey blue polish with a teal/gold/blue shifting shimmer, lavender micro flakes and holo.

Kida had a wonderful formula. It applies buttery smooth with zero application issues. The base on this is a very smokey blue that leans just slightly on the teal side. I found the shimmer effect was on the more subtle side. I think the reason why it leaned teal was due to the shimmer. The holographic was VERY strong.

I swatched Kida in 3 coats. I found it was a tiny bit sheer towards my tips after 2 coats. Nothing in here will dry textured or be difficult to remove. It did seem to dry slightly dull. No issues on removal.

Megara

Description: An indigo polish with a strong red/gold shifting shimmer, purple/red/orange/gold shifting flakes and holo.

Megara had a wonderful formula. I found in person, I would call this a purple more than I would call it an indigo. Whatever you want to call it, it’s gorgeous. Y’all know I am a super for a purple polish with flakies and this one is right up my alley. The flakies all spread out evenly without giving off texture.

The holographic in this came out the most under the sun. In my indoor lighting, I was mainly seeing the shimmer and flakies. I swatched this polish in 3 coats. It was just a tiny bit sheer for me in two.

Removal won’t be overly difficult, just slightly messy. I didn’t experience any staining.

New Bottle & Brush Alert!

BCB Lacquers recently changed their bottle shape and their brushes! The new bottle is 15ml, slightly taller and in my opinion, more upscale looking. They also now feature a paddle brush.
