[Press Samples]

Happy Friday everyone! Today’s post is for a new to the scene indie polish brand called Adored Colors. This brand was started by Judy aka @judinkanailart over on Instagram and YouTube. I have their Swimsuit Runway collection plus 2 other polishes that are releasing this month.

There are also a ton of sales going on for this brand all month to celebrate Judy’s birthday. As always, links to where you can purchase these will be at the end of the post.

Adored Colors is a US based indie brand. Their polishes are handmade, 5 free, cruelty-free and are in 15ml bottles.

Double Sided Bottoms

Description: Light green with golden shimmer filled with berry micro glitters
Price: $11

Double Sided Bottoms had a great crelly-like formula. It applied very smoothly but just a tiny bit unevenly on the first coat. The unevenness seemed to have fix itself with the subsequent coats.

This has a ton of micro glitters but doesn’t feel textured at all. I found the golden shimmer looks very green paired with the base color. I think this one is a solid 3 coater. I used 3 coats plus top coat for my photos.

Looking Cute By the Pool

Description: Medium yellow with a ton of plum square glitters and electric orange hexes
Price: $11

Looking Cute By the Pool had a great crelly formula. It felt just slightly on the thicker side but what I would expect from a glitter crelly base. The plum square glitters at first glance look black. I found the larger orange hexes are more sparse on the nail so to get those out, I kept the bottle upside down between coats.

I will note that this polish doesn’t like being overworked so apply it and don’t mess with it too much. This looks best in 3 coats. I found with the third coat if I looked really strongly, I had a few lights spots but I’d have to get very close and look for them. After adding top coat, they weren’t really noticeable.

I found depending on how thick of a top coat you use, this will need 1-2 coats. With my usual KBShimmer qdtc, I only needed 1 coat. With the Zombie Claw Polish top coat I am trying out, I needed 2 coats to make this perfectly smooth.

Note: On my ring finger nail, I did glitter placement as I didn’t have any of the larger orange glitters on that nail.

My Bikini Is Not Peach

Description: Pastel neon orange with UCC flakes that shift purple/blue/red
Price: $11.50

My Bikini Is Not Peach had a great formula. It rode the line between a crelly and a jelly polish in my opinion. The flakies spread out really nicely on the nail and I loved how they paired with the base color! The base is neon pastel orangey/coral type shade.

This had great coverage in 2 coats but I found a 3rd coat evens out and deepens the base. Nothing in here dries textured or was difficult to remove.

Birthday Bash (May Polish of The Month)

Description: shimmery purple base filled with yellow and clementine hexes and green glitter shreds
Price: $11

Birthday Bash had a great jelly-like formula. It is on the sheer side so it will need to be built up. It is sheer enough in 1 coat that it could be used as a topper. The glitters and shreds spread out easily, I didn’t need to do anything special to get them even.

I don’t generally love glitter mixed with this type of base so while this polish wasn’t really doing it for me, I did like that it was unique. I used 3 coats for my photos.

I had a very slightly amount of visible nail line on my natural nails on some angles with this polish. Removal will be difficult due to the amount of glitters.

Heaven Has a New Angel (Limited Edition)

Description: pure shimmer/pearly white with black holo glitter shreds
Price: $11

Heaven Has a New Angel had a great formula. Just a bit streaky at first but about what I expect from white crellies. The shreds don’t really give off a ton of holo in this base but the some of the shreds on the final coat will give off a nice sparkle. They also do seem to sink so holding the bottle upside down between coats will get you the most bang for your buck glitter wise.

I think this will be a solid 3 coater on everyone. It was still pretty streaky on the second coat so the third coat is needed to even them out. I still had a few uneven spots after the third coat but top coat made them less noticeable.

Removal will be tricky.

Final Thoughts

This was a very fun and unique release! I like that Judy went all out with the glitters and the flakies in these polishes. My favorites from this release were My Bikini Is Not Peach and Looking Cute By the Pool.
