Talk Indie To Me – Treat Yo Self

Super exciting blog post and some big news! I’ll be swatching the Talk Indie To Me box for the next couple of months! Oh my gosh, when I found out that I was going to be swatching these I literally screamed! I will have blog posts and live swatch videos up on YouTube for future boxes. The YouTube video with live swatches for this one is up now on my channel! This box will be available on January 15th on a preorder. The guest maker for January is Swamp Gloss! As always, links and sale info will be at the end of this post.

The Talk Indie To Me box is a monthly collaboration between Zombie Claw Polish and Sweet & Sour Lacquer! Each month features a third guest maker. Each month has a different theme. Themes range from tv shows, movies and pop culture,

Disclaimer: I was sent these products as PR in exchange for photographs and an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. My photos were taken indoors with daylight/LED bulbs and outdoors in natural light. I used the KB Shimmer Clearly On Top glossy top coat, Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (for glitter polishes) and the Zombie Claw Polish matte top coat (gifted) for my photos.

Swamp Gloss – I Got Three Words For You

Description: A minty, turquoise crelly with pastel pink matte hexes and iridescent flakies that shift purple/red/gold.

I Got Three Words For You had a great formula. It was on the thinner side for a glitter crelly but it applied evenly and easily. You get a good amount of glitter and flakies on the brush without having to fish for them. The flakies appear more in lower indirect lighting. This will be opaque in 2-3 coats depending on polishing style and nail length. I used 3 coats for my photos.

At first glance, in the bottle, I thought these were white glitters. So I was surprised when I read the description that they are a *very* pale pink. This dries down surprisingly smooth for a glitter crelly. I used 2 coats of top coat but I think it would have been fine with just one.

Sweet & Sour Lacquer – Relaxation Professionals

Description: A purple/green/gold multichrome with pink/green/gold UCC flakes, pink/purple iridescent flakes, and blue aurora shimmer

Relaxation Professionals This had a great formula. It wasn’t too thick or too thin. It applies really nicely and evenly. It is *extremely* color shifty on the nail! The multichrome looks almost firey in this base and the flakies pair perfectly with it. I used 3 coats for my photos. I think most people would be fine in 2 coats but because my nails are both long and clear, I needed that third coat. The flakies dried down smooth so only 1 coat of top coat is needed.

This is the type of polish that you really want to see in a video because still photos just don’t do it justice! It’s just stunning!

Zombie Claw Polish – Treat Yourself

Description: A feeling yourself sparkly jacket inspired polish with a silver base loaded full of silver holo micro glitters, holo flakies, linear holo and black shards

Treat Yourself had a great formula that I always expect from this brand. It applies evenly and easily. It has a metallic feel to it that you don’t usually get from silver holos. The black shards are sparse on the nail and I really love how they look! I did a small amount of dabbing to get the shards where I wanted but that is optional. This will be a 2-3 coater depending on preference and nail length. I used 3 coats for my photos.

The black glitter shreds are similar (if not identical) to the black shreds in The Meat Dress (November PPU). I did find that they poked up on the nail more than I remember them poking in The Meat Dress. I had one on my ring finger than just didn’t want to lay flat, even after 2 coats of top coat.

Sale Info

talk indie to me

The Talk Indie To Me box will be available January 15-22 for $30 plus shipping as a pre-order on A direct link to the box is here. The polishes are all sold together, so unlike other collabs I have swatched, you need to buy everything together. As a customer, I have always found this box in particular to be worth getting everything since $30 for 3 indies is a really good price. The TITM Facebook group has a thread where people can split the box with members if only 1 or 2 polishes strikes your fancy.
