Heather’s Hues August 2020 Monthly Duo!

Heather’s Hues August 2020 Duo

*PRESS SAMPLES* I am very excited to share swatches today of the August duo from Heather’s Hues! Each month Heather creates 2 limited edition polishes based on photos chosen by members of the Heather’s Hues Facebook Group, Heather’s Hue-T-Pies. For August we have 2 flakie filled polishes, one being a crelly and the other a jelly polish. I always look forward to what Heather comes up with each month and I was not disappointed!

This duo is available right now on HeathersHues.com. They are $12.50 each for 15ml bottles or $25 for the duo. Today is also the last day to get the July duo (reviewed here). You do not need to be a member of the Facebook group to purchase the monthly duos but you do need to be a member to submit and vote on monthly duos. Members also get special perks so I highly recommend joining!

I was sent these in exchange for a review and photos. All thoughts and opinions are my own. My photos include were taken under daylight bulbs, natural light, and show both glossy and matte top coats. I used the Heather’s Hues matte top coat for my photos!

Flake Flight

Flake Flight is described as a charcoal jelly packed with holo, a mix of multichrome and iridescent flakes in pink/orange/gold/green and neon pink and green glitters. I found it completely opaque in 3 coats but a thicker second coat should give full coverage. This is a very in your face polish with all of the multichrome and holo flakes! It’s very color shifty and I felt like I couldn’t take enough pictures to really show the range in colors. The flakes/glitters applied evenly and the formula was very easy to work with.

Hop To It

Hop To It is described as a dusty mauve crelly kissed with iridescent orange-pink-gold-green shimmer and flakes, holo sparkle, as well as multichrome flakes in blue-purple-pink and violet-pink-gold. This was opaque in 2 coats for me. I love colors like this that have that dusty/greyed out apperance! The holographic element in this is much more subdued than in Flake Flight. Some of the flakes might lay down sticking up but for the most part get smoothed out with top coat.

This was yet another fantastic month for Heather’s Hues duo polishes. These are availbable right now on the Heather’s Hues website, HeathersHues.com! They will only be available during the month of August so if you like them, I don’t suggest waiting too long to grab them. If I *had* to pick a favorite I would say Flake Flight but I really enjoyed both of these.
